LEGO unveils two Star Wars: The Mandalorian sets
by bricksphere
It is with the beginning of 2020 and the New York Toy Fair, that LEGO unveiled two Star Wars: The Mandalorian sets. They will become available in stores in the second half of 2020.
We are talking about the brickheadz set 75317 The Mandalorian & The Child and the 75292 The Razor Crest.
I would like to share with you a few comments on the two sets.
75317 The Mandalorian & The Child
The brickheadz set will include The Mandalorian Din Djarin and the Child aka Baby Yoda. It will be available on 1st August 2020 for a recommended price of EU € 19.99, US $19.99, UK £ 17.99.
I am not a fan of brickheadz, but I really appreciate when they are well done. I think that the brickheadz of Din Djarin is great and very well done with several details and a nice combination of colors. Let see also how the rifle is replicated at brickheadz scale.
On the other hand, I found The Child too big, I am not really impressed about it. I understand the brickheadz proportion and maybe this is probably one of the reason I don’t really like Brickheadz. So, I found The Child too big, compared with Mando. Maybe, it could have been better to do the brickheadz of only Baby Yoda without the cradle.
Anyway, I confirm my curiosity about the set, I love the series and I am really looking forward for it!
75292 The Razor Crest
The second set is what I believe most of the fans were waiting for: The Razor Crest.
After the big success of the TV series this set is really the one of the most expected. It is already available in pre-order and it will become available on 1st September 2020 for a recommended price of EU € 134.99, US $129.99, UK £ 119.99.
There are really few pictures at present, but the main one reveal the Razor Crest and a few minifigures.
As far as the spaceship is concerned, I admit that I am not really impressed. However, the ship looks great for children role-playing. The interior looks well done for this kind of model, however, I am really curios to see by myself.
On the other hand, the minifigures look great. First of all we will have the minifigure of The Child, for the first time, then The Mandalorian himself, Greef Karga, a Scout Trooper and IG-11.
The real new minifigures of the set are The Child and Greef Karga, on the other hand The Mandalorian was already available in the LEGO set 75254 Raider AT-ST. The Scout Trooper is already available in some sets and finally IG-11 was included also in some sets and also in an exclusive polybag with the LEGO magazine.
I am very curios about the set and I am really looking forward for it.
What do you think about The Mandalorian sets, let me know in the comments.
